An old story – with twisted side scribbles

8 07 2011

A father had 3 daughters all of whom he loved very much.. (yenga veetukku vanga.. yen kitta moonu ponnu irukku.. palagi parunga.. pudicha kattikonga illana friends-a iruppom)

on one fine day, he wanted to check whom of the three had better sense of judgement. so he ended up asking them a question. (kelvi kekkuradhu romba easy.. badhil konjam solli parunga.. appo than adhoda kashtam puriyum)

question: (background score – kalyana samayal sadham..kaigarigalum pramadham)

which is the most important thing in a wedding meal (idhellam oru kelvi nu kekkuraru..! shabba)

daughter 1: (kanna laddu thinna aasayaaaa)

Sweets that we serve at dessert.. applause… father is in all smiles.. (yo modhalla soru podunga ya.. appuram sweet sapdalam)

daughter 2: (saami soru saami soru)

the variety of dishes served in the main course.. father is in smiles again.. great answer he says… (sollitanga ba)

daughter 3: (uppitta tamil mannai naan marakka maten…)

“salt” — pause… everyone is watching her in silence.. what a dumb answer, will anyone serve salt in a meal? after a second, the daughter continued.. it gives flavor to everything that is served…! (idhu pudhusa irukke…?)

Father was surprised at the level of thinking of the third daughter. and from then on, she became his favorite among the three and they lived happily ever after..! (feeeeelingss.. )
